The following is a selection of our commercial projects on Long Island. One project is a restaurant in Bayshore, NY, that was an optician’s office and a hair salon. This building was combined into one commercial use and is now a restaurant. We had to obtain several planning board approvals, Suffolk County Health Department approvals, as well as town building department permits.
Another project shown is a renovation to a historic structure. At its inception, it was an abandoned mixed use building, with apartments on the top floor and retail spaces below. We have re-established the grandfathered use for the building with three apartments on the second floor and office space on the first floor. We maintained the original character of the building with similar materials and historically correct detailing on the exterior.
The third project pictured is a mixed use building in Syosset, NY in Nassau County. The building is an entire corner of an intersecting road at Jackson Avenue and Muttontown Road. Although the structure is one building, we designed the building to resemble a series of buildings to create a diverse urban fabric. We worked with the town of Oyster Bay for the building approvals. It is also a mixed use project, with apartments on the second floor and retail/office space below.
